It was threatening to rain again when I arrived home from work this evening so I decided not to risk walking to the venue of today's random act of wildness but drove there instead.
I was joined my youngest daughter tonight who liked the idea of a walk along the canal with the possibility of feeding some ducks too.

We drove out to the Bootle Arms Pub in Melling, parked up in the car park and from there we headed down to the canal towpath via the track which passes through Newhouse Farm and the Stables.
Luckily for us the weather stayed on our side and we enjoyed a nice evening walk along a small stretch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal, from the swing bridge along to the Bootle Arms Bridge.

The same threatening sky was over us last night too. I like walking along canals because of the reflections you get in the still watert. Loved all the photos of the young birds and enjoyed the video.
